FAQ

Common questions

How long does integration take?

A basic integration can be live within weeks. The exact timeline depends on your platform and the level of customization needed. We work closely with your team throughout the process.

Do we need to change our existing platform?

No. Peaktravel works as an additional layer on top of your existing infrastructure. Your current functionality stays intact — we add the intelligence layer that enhances the user experience.

What communities and events does Peaktravel support?

Any community or event where the travel experience matters more than the destination. We're currently active in winter sports, hiking, culinary travel, golf, running events, and more. The engine adapts to new verticals quickly.

Is it really white-label?

Yes, fully. The recommendation engine runs under your brand with your styling, and travellers experience it as a native part of your platform. The booking itself completes with one of our travel partners — there's no Peaktravel branding visible to your audience unless you want it.

What does the business model look like?

We offer commission-based models where you earn on every booking, white-label integrations, and an annual data-dashboard subscription for audience insights. We discuss the best fit during our initial conversation.

Is there a widget, SDK, or API?

Yes — we offer an embeddable widget for a fast start, a JavaScript SDK for deeper styling control, and a full API for teams that want to build their own interface on top of our recommendation engine.

What technical capacity do we need on our side?

For the embedded widget, a developer can typically have it live in a few hours — it's a script tag and a container element. Deeper API integrations need more engineering time, which we scope together during onboarding.

Who contracts with the hotels and travel partners?

Peaktravel contracts directly with our connected travel and accommodation partners. You don't need to negotiate or manage supplier relationships yourself.

Who handles booking changes and cancellations?

The travel partner that fulfilled the booking handles changes, cancellations, and customer service for that booking, following their own terms — the same as any affiliate booking today.

Who owns the traveller and intent data?

You own the audience and intent data generated on your platform. We use it to power your recommendations and, if you choose the data-dashboard product, to give you the underlying insights — we don't sell it to third parties.

Does commission ever influence which places get recommended?

Relevance to the traveller's request drives ranking, not commission rate — a place only gets recommended when it genuinely fits what was asked for.

What reporting do we get as a partner?

You get visibility into bookings, commission earned, and audience intent through your partner dashboard, with more detail available on the data-subscription tier.

What does it cost, and is there a minimum volume?

The commission-based model has no upfront cost or minimum volume — you earn as bookings happen. White-label and enterprise integrations are scoped and priced based on your platform and requirements.

Does the partner have influence over which suppliers or recommendations are shown?

You can set the pool of supply partners and any brand or quality guardrails for your platform; within that pool, ranking is driven by relevance to the traveller's request, not manual curation per query.

How does consent and privacy work?

Peaktravel only processes what's needed to generate a recommendation, and travellers see a clear disclosure that they're getting travel suggestions. We adapt our consent language to sit under your platform's existing privacy policy rather than replace it.

Can the partner control which data is used?

Yes — you decide which signals from your platform (such as content, community, or event context) feed into recommendations for your audience, and can turn individual sources off.

How is the quality of recommendations controlled?

Every recommendation is checked against live availability and supply-partner data before it's shown, and we monitor match quality and traveller feedback to keep tuning the model.

Can Peaktravel work within our existing consent and analytics setup?

Yes — the integration is built to sit alongside your existing consent management platform and analytics stack rather than replace them.
